PYXIS MPEG-2 Video Encoder

BarcoNetYXIS MPEG-2 encoder well suited for: Contribution, STL (Studio-Transmitter-Link), Local Encoding or Multi Channel Encoding in DVB-C and DVB-T. The PYXIS enables single-channel, high-quality MPEG-2 encoding. The encoder adapts to the active input and compresses the video signal to a bit rate in the range of 1.5 and 15 Mbit/s according to MPEG-2 MP@ML or 4:2:2P@ML encoding up to 50 Mbit/s. Both PAL, PALplus, or SDI interfaces are available. The video channel may have up to four audio channels associated. The audio channels being analog, digital AES/EBU or embedded in the SDI video input are compressed according MPEG-1 Layer II or transmitted uncompressed using linear audio (SMPTE 302M).
Video, audio and auxiliary data are multiplexed into a dual DVB compliant transport stream output or optional telecom interfaces
