RT-SET, Peak merger creates vi[z]rt

<%=company1%> and Peak's recent merger has resulted in a new company and a new strategy at targeting new visualization technologies.

The new company, "vi[z]rt" combines Peak and RT-SET's expertise in virtual studios and broadcast and web-cast graphics. Shlomo Nimrodi, president and CEO of RT-SET will be the president of the new company and Petter Ole Jakobsen, previously president of Peak will take on the role of "Executive Pixel Pusher," charged with managing the company's Creative Development operations in Norway, Austria, Israel and Utah.

Isaac Hersly, previously president of Peak and Chyron Corp., will be VP of worldwide operations, including responsibility for regional customer advocacy covering pre- and post sales support.

"The new company will be focused on fundamentally changing the way information is communicated by broadcasters and corporations," said Nimrodi. "vi[z]rt will provide them with the tools for generating compelling and robust visual media experiences with immediacy and impact, across different delivery mechanisms."

The combined company launched its first product, Inca, to the web-casting market at NAB earlier this year and will be demonstrating that product, as well as its full line of virtual studio technology at IBC2000.
