Editing Technologies Corporation (ETC)O-8 is a multi-channel slow motion system specifically designed for sports and other multiple input record applications. The ISO-8 allows the user to simultaneously record up to 8 separate feeds of a single event to a video server/digital disk recorder in order to provide multiple views of the same material on playback.

Operation of the ISO-8 is simple and flexible. Typically, up to eight separate camera feeds of an event or program are simultaneously recorded on the ISO-8. This provides up to eight separate views or angles of the same event or program during playback. The record channels are automatically assigned a file name for each recording that can optionally be renamed by the operator. Either during record or playback, the operator can key mark-in times that define segments of the clip recording.

The operator may also set-in times for segments of clips. The segments defined by the mark-in or set-in times are captured in a play list, providing virtually an edited sequence of playback material for applications such as halftime highlights. All play functions including freeze frame, slow motion, or normal speed playback are available immediately following the recording.
