With Sonex™ foams, you can create your own "QUIET ZONE". Sonex™ foam is a special sound-absorbing foam with a sculptured design that traps sound. It is over four times more effective than carpeting or ceiling tiles. Sonex™ Foams are offered in two different materials and several different patterns to serve sound-absorption needs in a wide variety of environments and facilities. Foams come in sheet form for walls or with hooks for ceiling installations. They also come with a variety of waterproof and decorative coatings to serve your application needs. All of the Sonex™ materials provide excellent performance and easy installation. The Class 1 Fire-Rated versions of Sonex™ meet the most stringent public building codes nationally and locally. The same great acoustical performance is also offered in the traditional open celled polyurethane Sonex™ Foam. Unique surface patterns deflect sound waves and convert the noise energy into quiet, kinetic energy.

HOW DOES SONEX WORK
Sound "absorbing" materials don't, in fact, absorb sound. Two basic phenomena take place when noise is reduced by a sound "absorbing" material or structure. 1. Sound energy is converted into noiseless heat energy and 2. sound energy is dissapated by the process of deflection. Not all sound "absorbing" materials and structures offer both of the above features. SONEX™, however, gives you the best of both worlds. SONEX™ converts sound to heat energy and its surface contour is engineered for optimum dissipation of noise by the process of deflection. Shapes have also been developed that optimize noise deflection characteristics through their geometry.

ABOUT WILLTEC
Sonex™ acoustical products are crafted from willtec material which is 100% free from hazardous fibers, has excellent performance, and meets ASTM E 84 Class 1 requirements for low flammability. The exclusive fiber-free and flame resistant properties of willtec make it excellent for areas where high temperatures, sparks, flames, or building codes make other materials unsatisfactory. Its state-of-the-art porous, acoustical design, formed into anechoic wedges, controls sound by scattering and absorbing sound waves--all while remaining impervious to heat sources. Builders and architects are increasingly specifying willtec sound control products because they are easy to install, suitable for numerous applications, cost-effective, and meet or exceed local, state, and federal building code requirements.

EASY INSTALLATION AND APPLICATION
You can install unmounted SONEX in a method most convenient for you; use SPA-02 adhesive, panel adhesive, contact adhesive or mechanical fasteners. You can glue it to standard drywall construction using adhesive, and you can even fit SONEX in a cabinet after trimming with an electric knife. YOu can also easily glue SONEX to plaster, paneling, concrete or cinder block walls, or simply staple it to stud walls.
