Southware Netlink

SouthWare NetLink is both a product and a technology to address the exploding market of e-business. The rapid adoption of the Internet by businesses has opened up new opportunities and new needs. As the Internet becomes an acceptable (and preferred) method for transacting certain types of business, NetLink bridges the gap between the world of browsers and the world of in-house business data processing. Instead of using a totally different set of tools for the two worlds, NetLink is designed to leverage your existing knowledge of SouthWare products by utilizing the ReportMate and ImportMate II modules for data handling.

The basic function of NetLink is to provide data from your business system to browser-based users and to receive data into your business system from those same users. Netlink is a CGI-based application that builds web pages dynamically, pulling data from your accounting data files and allowing you to update those same files "real-time.EP> When the term "e-commerce" first began to be used most people thought of a consumer-oriented order entry system (such as Amazon.com). NetLink can handle consumer-oriented order entry, but NetLink is primarily targeted for e-business or business-to-business use. NetLink's greatest value and power is in strengthening existing business relationships and providing easier communication at a lower cost.
