VideoRack LP is a low-profile, rack mountable storage system designed to support professional non-linear editing systems in a compact 1U rack-mountable enclosure
VideoRack LP is a low-profile, rack mountable storage system designed to support professional non-linear editing systems in a compact 1U rack-mountable enclosure. VideoRack LP is a high-performance, hardware-based RAID system priced at a fraction of the cost of lower performance "just-a-bunch-of-disks" solutions. VideoRack LP's low-profile design packs up to 300 GB of high-performance video storage in a single 1U enclosure that requires only 1.75 inches of rack space. For larger video projects, over 1 terabyte of storage (15 hours of uncompressed video) can be configured in only 7 inches with VideoRack LP.

A single four-drive VideoRack LP disk array will sustain a minimum data transfer rate of 65 MB/second - more than enough performance to support single-stream uncompressed systems or real-time NLEs to 500 KB/frame. When striped together using a dual-channel SCSI adapter, two VideoRack LP units easily support dual-stream uncompressed NLEs including Accom's Affinity, Avid Meridien and Pinnacle Systems' CineWave. HD production is supported with four VideoRack LP units.

VideoRack LP delivers simple plug and play installation. VideoRack LP attaches to any NLE workstation equipped with a SCSI host adapter. VideoRack LP's on-board hardware RAID controller eliminates the need for any third-party software configuration. Users simply attach VideoRack LP to the SCSI host adapter and initialize the system as if it was a single disk drive. As video storage requirements grow, VideoRack LP modules can be easily daisy-chained together for storage capacities up to 9 terabytes - enough capacity for storing over 100 hours of uncompressed footage.
