All Superior Broadcast Products Solid State transmitters employ a simple, reliable design that delivers uncompromised performance. These 100% solid state transmitters/translators offer a high degree of redundancy. Multiple RF output devices operating in parallel eliminate the single final output tube. Advanced combining techniques allow the transmitter / translator to stay on the air even if an output device should fail. In models with multiple visual and / or aural amplifiers, an entire module may be removed, serviced, or repaired in the field.

The principle of distributed architecture has been applied throughout our design. Regulated power supplies are fault-protected against over-temperature, over-voltage, and over-current. In the event of AC power failure, our transmitters and translators resume operation automatically as soon as power is restored.

Stable, broadband solid state power amplifier modules eliminate tuning and adjustments needed by tube transmitters. To further enhance the stability of the transmitter / translator, the power supplies are engineered to deliver stable performance over AC line voltage fluctuations of +/- 10%.

The straightforward design makes control, monitoring and maintenance easy for any operator. Each assembly has metering. LED status displays a test port. Remote control operation is in most models. Our transmitters and translators can be set to turn off automatically if the output signal is not present.

Extra attention to every detail ensures the highest level of transmission quality. The continous-duty black picture design employs advanced features such as SAW filter sideband shaping. Pre-correction for linearity is applied to further enhance the performance of our transmitters.
