PANASONIC BROADCAST INTRODUCES 50" HIGH DEFINITION PLASMA DISPLAY
Display Offers Highest Brightness, Unprecedented Contrast Ratio
ANAHEIM, CA (June 15, 2000) — Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company (Los Angeles, CA) has debuted here at INFOCOMM 2000 the 50" diagonal TH-50PHD3U High Definition Plasma Display Panel.
The TH-50PHD3U features UXGA resolution of 1366 x 768 to deliver stunning, true high definition images. The 16:9 wide aspect ratio HD plasma display will offer a panel brightness of more than 500 cd/m2 and an outstanding contrast ratio of over 2000:1. The 50" display can produce a palette of 16.77 million colors and 1,024 shades of gray scale. It has a horizontal/vertical viewing angle of more than 160 degrees, permitting unrestricted viewing even if the audience is not directly in front of the unit. The TH-50PHD3U will be available in Fall 2000.
