Windows Based Remote Control Master Package
Complete and simultaneous control of up to 20 remote sites is possible through a custom designed Windows based software package on a standard PC. The user configurable system has a 1000 record transmit site database, full on-line help and diagnostics, a peak search facility and continuous alarm supervision. Optional enhancements allow the user to: use GPS data for fully automated tracking of a helicopter, truck or wireless camera; display the incoming picture on the control screen as an independent sizeable window; display and interface with off-the-shelf map packages.

Complete diagnostics of the remote control software package and its communications with remote receive sites are easily available through the use of an integral test meter (also available as an independent window). The meter provides on-line testing of all elements of the communications system, including the intervening modem and also provides facilities to exercise the relay and control functions in the distant slave unit.

Takes Full Advantage of the GPS Satellite Network
The package is designed to make comprehensive use of transmitter GPS data to provide optimum reception capability. The standard software accepts manual entry of transmitter GPS data and provides azimuth and distance information. An optional automatic serial data interface accepts GPS data and provides fully automatic tracking of a mobile transmitter installation. The data is incorporated onto the microwave link either as data over video or, for covert applications, as data within video.

Also available from RF Technology is an aircraft or truck mounted GPS auto-pod antenna. The antenna computes its position and direction using an integral GPS receiver and compass. The pod uses this information and a switchable antenna array to activate the optimum antenna sector combination to address a pre-determined receiver site. Thus the pod provides the performance of a steerable antenna system without any moving parts and hence without the associated weight, size and mechanical reliability penalties.

Available With a Comprehensive Range of Antenna Package Solutions
RF Technology offers a comprehensive range of proven antenna systems. An offset-fed, radome housed antenna provides a high gain, steerable solution for use as a helicopter or ENG truck receive system; a cosecant² antenna gives the same radome housed, high gain, steerable solution but with an increased elevation bandwidth that makes it ideal for use on tall buildings in downtown locations; a set of fan-beam antennas offers a convenient compromise between mechanical simplicity and 360° azimuth coverage with gain; whilst omni-directional antennas are available for an inexpensive solution in a non-congested area.
