TRANSAT - Air Transportable Earth Station

IDB Systems' Air transportable Satellite Terminal (TRANSAT) is an advanced design air transportable, rapid deployment satellite earth terminal available in C, Ku or X-Band configurations. All aluminum construction makes this unit extremely rugged and lightweight. Specially designed to be shipped fully equipped, with the antenna in the stow position, via commercial aircraft and most overnight delivery services. The unit occupies a single container position on commercial aircraft when equipped with a 2.4 meter antenna. The system qualifies as an Intelsat Standard E1 terminal or at C-Band, as an Intelsat Standard G or Z.

When equipped with a 2.6 meter antenna, the system qualifies on Eutelsat. The system is completely self contained with both generators and air conditioners on board. Generators are available in either gas or diesel versions. Rugged and reliable twin rubber mounted torsion axles evenly distribute the load and provide exceptionally shock free support for removable case or rack mount electronics. Removable equipment cases are internally wired and are equipped with interface panels for quick disconnect.
