TVU Networks To Showcase IP-Based Live Video Solutions At CABSAT 2016

Global Technology Leader in Live Portable Newsgathering Solutions to Showcase IP Video Transmission and Distribution Technology Including TVU One

TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live IP video solutions recently announced that the company will partner with Broadcast & Studio Solutions (BSS), an official TVU Networks reseller, to demonstrate and showcase the suite of TVU newsgathering solutions at CABSAT, the dominant broadcast technology event for Africa and the Middle East, March 11-13 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

At CABSAT 2016, TVU Networks will be highlighted at the BSS stand #C1-30. Visitors will see how broadcasters, web streaming, producers, sport organizations, law enforcement and public safety agencies rely on TVU solutions including TVU One, TVU’s newest compact mobile newsgathering transmitter, to capture and share live HD video of breaking news and major events around the world. Other TVU solutions featured at stand #C1-30 will include: TVU Grid, TVU MLink, TVU Anywhere, TVUMe and the TVU Booking Service.

TVU One – At CABSAT, the latest innovation from TVU Networks, TVU One will be showcased. TVU One is a live, mobile IP newsgathering HD video transmitter based on the same transmission resiliency, performance and sub-second latency of a full-size backpack transmitter, but in a substantially smaller, lightweight and ultra-compact form factor. Like all TVU transmitters, TVU One uses proprietary Inverse StatMux Plus technology (IS+) to transmit dependable HD video even in moving, real-world environments.

TVU Grid – TVU Grid is the powerful, scalable IP-based video switching, routing and distribution solution that enables broadcasters to acquire live video from different sources and seamlessly distribute it to other news stations. With TVU Grid, broadcasters have the ability to route live, professional-quality video streams with as low as sub-second delay over IP networks to one or more Grid-enabled news stations anywhere in the world as it is happening.

TVU MLink – TVU’s IP-based video transmitter solutions are also in the form of a fixed rack mount called TVU MLink, designed for fixed deployment in vehicles or in a studio.

TVU Anywhere – Also appearing at CABSAT will be TVU Anywhere, which enables broadcasters to instantly capture and transmit footage from anywhere on their small mobile device or laptop. The TVU Anywhere app uses smartphone or laptop cellular or WiFi connection to record live video and transmit to a TVU receiver or transceiver.

TVUMe – TVU Networks will also showcase TVUMe, a groundbreaking IP video marketplace that enables broadcasters to discover and purchase live or recorded video content from other broadcasters, freelancers and independent production crews from around the world. TVUMe enables users to sell and trade recorded video content and sell live video streams in a simple interface. Additionally, production crews can use the TVUMe service to list production services and equipment for future booking, giving broadcasters access to professional video crews around the globe with the click of a button.

TVU Booking Service – TVU’s simple, integrated booking solution to help broadcasters better manage their IP video workflow, TVU Booking Service will also be featured at CABSAT. Working within the TVU Grid ecosystem, the TVU Booking Service delivers a simple-to-use integrated management system that allows stations to manage and control transmissions across all units.

Already in use by hundreds of leading broadcast organizations around the world, the TVU Networks family of IP transmission solutions gives broadcasters and organizations a powerful and reliable tool to distribute live video content to broadcast, online and mobile platforms. The TVU Networks suite of solutions has been used to deliver professional-quality live HD footage of a number of important events around the world including the World Cup, both Summer and Winter Olympic Games, U.S. presidential elections, natural disasters, the 2013 Papal conclave, the Super Bowl, the 2015 Papal visit to the United States and several international sporting events.
