Calgary, AB --- December 11, 2001 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces two new SMART Board for Plasma Displays models, ideal for interactive collaboration using plasma display panels (PDPs). The SMART Board for Plasma Displays PH237 supports the 37" Hitachi CMP307XU, which features a 4:3 aspect ratio and XGA resolution, making it an excellent data display source. The SMART Board for Plasma Displays PN250c supports the 50" NEC PlasmaSync 50PD1, an affordable PDP uniquely suited for public display environments.
The SMART Board for Plasma Displays is an interactive overlay powered by SMART Board™ Software that adds touch control and annotation capabilities, transforming a PDP into a powerful presentation and collaboration tool. By simply pressing the overlay's touch-sensitive surface, users can access and control computer-based information. Alternatively, users can write over top of any application in electronic ink using a pen from the SMART Pen Tray™.
