Voodoo Data Recorder

The new data interface allows the Voodoo to be used as a high-speed data back up device. Initially able to record approximately 80 to 90 megabytes per second, future planned enhancements will extend this to a full 128 megabytes per second. The Voodoo is not only the fastest data recorder available today, but it also has the unique feature of being able to switch from a uncompressed HDTV video recorder into a blazing fast data recorder. This feature combined with the unique high resolution VGA output makes it perfect for backing up 2k RGB image files to tape. In addition, the tape can be viewed using the VGA output.

The new Voodoo Data Recorder can be connected directly to the Spirit for recording image data directly to the tape at a full 6fps in 2k resolution, there is no need for a local workstation and disk arrays simplifying workflow.
