WAM!NET, Telestream ink media delivery alliance
Telestream's award-winning ClipMail Pro and ClipExpress are desktop MPEG appliances optimized for easy media encoding, decoding, network delivery and viewing. These store-and-forward media devices are an important component of WAM!NET's turnkey Compressed Video Delivery Service, which also leverages WAM!NET's fully managed global network. Via this service, WAM!NET's customers in the post production, studio, broadcast, corporate and advertising agency markets are able to quickly and easily deliver video from any computer desktop or Telestream video appliance, streamlining the creative review, network clearance and content distribution processes.
Since Telestream's initial introduction two years ago, Telestream ClipMail Pro and ClipExpress have gained worldwide acceptance by the demanding content creation market.
"We selected Telestream ClipMail Pro and ClipExpress because of their ease of use and turnkey integration into existing video environments," said Jim Miller, product manager for WAM!NET Video Services. "They combine the wide range of MPEG encoding/decoding and viewing features that professional users require, along with the ability to standards convert media on the fly between NTSC and PAL."
WAM!NET customers using Telestream units include BBC Worldwide Americas (BBCWA) Library Sales Division which delivers archive footage from the BBC London headquarters to its North American offices in New York City, Toronto and Los Angeles. By using the WAM!NET Network, the BBCWA delivers stock footage from its London-based archives in less than 12 hours, saving more than five days from the traditional "Dub And Ship" method.
"We are pleased to be aligned with WAM!NET, an established provider of managed network, storage, hosting and application services for the entertainment market," commented Mark Wronski, VP of worldwide sales for Telestream. "WAM!NET provides the speed, security, and reliable end-to-end network support that worldwide users require to move high-quality digital media files."
