Zapex's ZL-330 is a new high performance Linux-based MPEG-2 Dolby encoder for satellite, video server, Digital Video Broadcast (DVB), and cable applications. It is capable of delivering MPEG-2 video and Dolby Digital data streams that are multiplexed into a single transport-stream. This encoder is perfect for mission critical applications requiring a digital MPEG-2 output. Currently, the encoder has been used for cable-head broadcast distribution and local insertion broadcast applications.
